We love talking to people in our community and around the world, about what we do and the importance of why we do our research. Feel free to reach out if you have an opportunity that we could help with.
TALK SCIENCE WITH ME, JULY 17, 2019
As part of the "Talk Science With Me" series organized by UF IFAS Extension, Parr and Dorota were hosted by a local cafe, Curia on the Drag, to engage their visitors in talking about our science. The topic of the night was soil, who makes it, how long it takes to make it, and how long it takes to destroy it. To help us explain these concepts, we used a poster. To show some of the key organisms (e.g., nematodes, yay!), we used live specimens that were projected from a dish placed under a dissecting scope onto a display screen via a camera. We found out that Worms and Wine go well together!
